As a photographer and now also a video creator, it’s ALL about the quality of work. To create something visually dramatic, perhaps emotive alongside those key essentials to make sure the photograph or video is doing and saying the right thing for the brief. Whether it’s a corporate headshot, brand photoshoot or a sports kit needing to be photographed, my attention to the important details never wavers. My standards for quality production are as high as can be and you will only ever get photography or video content that I am proud to give to you.

Actor headshots Yorkshire
Actor headshots can be incredibly quick to get done. It can be as simple as setting up a chair, my light and a background in a space in your house and we are off!
Portrait of a climber
I'm constantly on the look for people to photograph, whatever the reason, just something that catches my imagination and inspiration to photograph them in a certain way. I noticed Pippa online and the remarkable things as an athlete she can do, mainly as a climber but to be honest she’s such an athlete she can take on whatever comes in front of her and win. From looking at her physique i knew it would be great to create some moody portraits not just showing her strength on the outside but a little look at her strength she carries from within. Before inviting her to shoot I practiced the lighting set up, creating fall off into darkness while passing her incredibly sculpted physique.
Yorkshire fashion photography
Another quick lifestyle fashion shoot in Leeds, Yorkshire. This time I brought with me a small flash unit to add some light where needed.
Runner portrait photography
David and I got talking about a world record attempt he was aiming to achieve, to run non stop for a record amount of hours on a treadmill. As he trained and I saw the effort, miles and hard work he was putting into breaking the record I thought there would be no better time to get him under my lights.
Fashion editorial photography
A session with Millie walking around the streets, looking for interesting light/shadowed areas to see what I could come up with. Millie is not a model and all direction from myself.
Editorial fitness photography
Really enjoyed working with Isabel creating some sports fitness photography in the studio. As a complete novice as a model she really picked up the attitude, emotions and direction from me very quickly.
Thai-Boxing portraits
I really love taking athlete portrait photographs, its inspirational to see their dedication to strive to be the elite and capturing them in one moment. This session I came up with one very simple technique to catch them in an in between state – after each session of hard training I pulled them to one side to take their shot. The look is a mixture of attitude and exhaustion which I love.
It’s a pleasure visiting Bradford’s Pro-Thai boxing Gym. Many thanks to Scott and each who stood in front of the lights that night.

Cross country running photography
First running event of the year begins with the Yorkshire Cross Country Championships at Lightwater valley park where the roller coaster overlooks most of the course. Great event to shoot some very good county runners, we even had a sight of a Brownee on the course.

Urban fashion shoot Leeds - alternative look
The weather report for the next day was favourable so thought to myself, let’s find someone to shoot. After a few messages on Facebook the fashion shoot was organised. Sarah has an alternative look so thought that would be great to do something slightly different from the norm. All direction to Sarah was from myself.
Cycling team training camp photography
Always great to be involved in the cycling world as a photographer. This time I was flown to Barcelona to document the training week from this ladies team as they began preparation for the season ahead. I tried to tell the story of those few days, show insights into the routine and hard work that is needed to compete as pro riders.
Barcelona Ironman triathlon photography
Such a pleasure to be invited to shoot the Barcelona Ironman by a friend who’s mad enough to enter these enormous events. I also took shots for 220 triathlon magazine while on site. I photographed him on the run up to the event a few days beforehand - riding, running and swimming in beautiful weather conditions as you’d expect. However when the day arrived a storm changed conditions dramatically and made the event from kick off with the swimming incredibly difficult. These super human achievements cannot be admired enough. I salute him and all the other athletes who took part.
Leeds carnival photography
Nothing can prepare you for the sights, colours and sounds from Carnival. Even with grey skies above threatening rain Leeds Carnival didn’t disappoint. Tremendous energy, pride and passion displayed from everyone taking part. A genuine sight to see and not be missed.
Ultra runner photography
It’s great to spend time with athletes, to find out a little about who they are and what drives them etc. All the better when photographing them in a great location and the weather is with you. Heres just a few photographs of Anna an ultra runner after a few hours we spent together. Thank you Anna!
Sailing photography
It’s always a pleasure to work with the Royal Yachting Association (RYA). This time capturing imagery for the following years 2020 RYA Dinghy Show. The two subjects who will be comparing the show were Sarah Ayton, her two boys and British Sailing Team member Sam Whaley. Sarah – an olympic gold medal winner and OBE and Sam – a British Sailing Team member. Both absolutely lovely people to work with and easy to see why they both have attained such heights in their careers. Happy sailing indeed and a pleasure to be there to capture.
