For me as a photographer and now also creating video, working predominantly in Leeds and Bradford, it’s ALL about the quality of work. To create something visually dramatic, perhaps emotive alongside those key essentials to make sure the photograph or video is doing and saying the right thing for the brief. Whether it’s a corporate headshot, brand photoshoot, sports kit needing to be photographed, my attention to the important details never wavers.
My standards for quality production are as high as can be and you will only ever get photography or video that I am proud of to give to you.

Jonny Brownlee - Alistair Brownlee HUUB photoshoot
While working in the studio, these two Yorkshire lads popped in. Not sure who they were, someone said they were good at swimming, cycling and running?

World triathlon Leeds 2018 photography
Two briefs for this triathlon event, first day to photograph the amateur athletes, second day to shoot the atmosphere surrounding the event with the elites. Huge sporting events are great to be invited along to shoot and with this world triathlon on my doorstep, always a pleasure!
Barcelona Ironman triathlon photography
Such a pleasure to be invited to shoot the Barcelona Ironman by a friend who’s mad enough to enter these enormous events. I also took shots for 220 triathlon magazine while on site. I photographed him on the run up to the event a few days beforehand - riding, running and swimming in beautiful weather conditions as you’d expect. However when the day arrived a storm changed conditions dramatically and made the event from kick off with the swimming incredibly difficult. These super human achievements cannot be admired enough. I salute him and all the other athletes who took part.
Tom Bishop triathlon photography
It goes without saying, always great to work with the best athletes in the world. Tom Bishop let me join him (and his training partners) as they spent the winter working hard in good ol Yorkshire conditions. For me telling this story is perhaps more important than photographing the winners of the race. This photography tells the story of whats needed to get to the elite events, the hard work and determination against the harshest conditions. Hour upon hour, week after week with one constant goal.
Triathlete photoshoot
In preparation for a later shoot in the day, my friend and assistant Scott brought in his new kit to practice the set up with the lights. I wanted to go for a very minimal look, just a few catch lights to edge his form in the shot.
Superleague Triathlon photography
Exciting new format to the triathlon world – Superleague has already made a huge impact. For me as a photographer a great event to shoot in a relatively small space. I was asked along to capture not only the race but behind the scenes too, following the athletes around on the island as they took part 4 days before the race in various activities.
Triathlete photoshoots
Great session with a monster of an athlete but a real gentle giant too. With these shoots I’m trying to capture each person looking their very best as they train to be the best. I spend time before each pose, directing him and making him clear on what I wanted from his emotional state as well as physical state. I really wanted to capture China’s ambition and commitment that’s clear to see in his eyes. I’m looking forward to the 3rd and final session with him in the water and wish him the very best in his journey to the top.

Triathlete shoot
Scott is an old friend, I’d not heard from him for a long time but was very pleased take the opportunity to photography him in his wetsuit and direct him with each photograph. A true gentleman, good guy and patience of a saint. I wish him further success in his training as a triathlete and can’t wait for the 2nd and 3rd set in this series of shots.

I was asked by HUUB to photograph the Jenson Button Trust Triathlon over in Derby. An additional requirement besides capturing the days events, a smattering of logos to appear throughout.
