Grime portraits
Grime photography stands out for me, the music and the artists who create. It has a relative short history alongside other music types but in its short time a real defined feel to everything about it, to the music of course but also those who produce it. How they look, behave and the culture of the scene. I’ll be photographing not only digital but on film too. I think the subject matter and the feel of film will add to the storytelling. My aim initially is to photograph the local grime artists in Leeds and maybe document the places they produce their work including shooting the head to head battles. From there who knows, London is where it all started so maybe my work will take me there too.
